The photo below shows the large field in which the track is laid out. The section of weeds that sticks out into the field is actually a ditch. This causes the track to be egg-shaped, with the narrow part at the west end of field (foreground) and the wide part at the west end of field. The track goes to the right of the ditch as soon as we're past it. There is a "turn" to the left (southeastcorner), then a straight section is marked for guidance, before the second turn to the left (northeast corner) which heads us back up to the west end. Though it's not apparent in the photos from the ditch up to the southeast corner is uphill, and then still slightly uphill to the northeast corner. From there it's a gradual downhill to the northwest corner, then uphill to the southeast corner, then downhill to the ditch.

This photo shows the northeast corner - taken from the same vantage point

This photo shows the west end of the track (both turns) - taken close enough to get both corners in the picture (barely) as I wanted to show the hill coming out of the turn

Above: the SW corner as we approach it along the fence line (out of sight on the right) coming from the north |

Above: this is the view after coming out of the SE corner and heading north to the NE corner - following the tracks on the left. The tree line is about half way to the next turn |

Above: the NW corner - looking back along the track to the East. The fence line is behind me. The NE turn is out of sight but you can just make out the marker post near the top of the hill slightly to the right of the center. The entire route is 1/2 mile. |
